We remember our Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. We continue the fight

February 20 is a day that will forever be etched in the history of Ukraine. The day when we remember the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred – those who gave their lives for freedom, for the right to live in an independent country, for the future of each of us.

These brave people came to Maidan not for fame or awards, but for dignity, truth and justice. Among them were representatives of different professions, of different ages, but they were united by one goal – a free and strong Ukraine. Among those who first rose up against injustice were students, among them students of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. The youth who were the first to feel the threat to the future and came out to defend their rights. They were not afraid to fight for the truth.

One of these brave students was Roman Huryk, a student philosopher who did not stay aside at a crucial moment for the country. He fought for the ideals of freedom, equality and justice, dreaming of a better future for Ukraine. Roman died from a sniper’s bullet on Instytutska Street, becoming one of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. His feat will forever remain in history as a symbol of the sacrifice and indomitability of Ukrainian youth.

And today, many students of this and other educational institutions, as well as the civilian population, continue to defend Ukraine – not only with books in their hands, but also with weapons, on the front lines. The struggle that began then continues today.

The heroes of the Heavenly Hundred became the first in the modern history of our country to lay down their lives for freedom. Their feat was not in vain – it became a symbol of the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit.

And now, when Ukraine is fighting for its existence again, we must remember: our strength is in unity. The enemy is trying to divide us, to sow lies, but we must persevere. At such moments, we must be together – united in our desire to preserve the country, our values, and most importantly – respect for each other. After all, only together will we be able to overcome all the challenges facing us.

It is important to support those who fight on the front lines, those who help in the rear, and those who contribute to our victory every day. We are strong when we are united. We are invincible when we support each other. Our state is our shared responsibility.

Let us remember those who died for our freedom, and let us do everything we can to ensure that their sacrifice is not in vain.

Glory to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred! Glory to all who fight for Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!
