On November 11, the Faculty of History, Political Science and International Relations of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University hosted a traditional charity event “Poppy of Memory”, dedicated to the end of the First World War.
The event, which has been held annually at the faculty since 2014, aims to honor the memory of those who fell in the Great War and support modern Heroes — students and graduates of the university who are currently defending Ukraine at the front.
During the event, students, teachers, and guests of the faculty could purchase sweets and symbolic poppies of remembrance, thus making their contribution to a common good cause.
Thanks to the care of the participants, 29,976 hryvnias were collected, which will be used to help our defenders.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined the charity collection — faculty, staff, students, and guests of the faculty.
Your support is evidence that the memory of the past and concern for the present are inextricably linked. After all, by honoring those who died in the wars of the past, we strengthen faith in victory today and create a peaceful future for Ukraine.
