Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University joined the educational conference “August 2026” , organized by the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council. The event brought together representatives of the educational community for professional dialogue, exchange of experience, and search for modern approaches to the development of education.
The event was attended by Valentyna Yakubiv, the rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University. The university traditionally joins the initiatives of the Department of Education and Science of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, as cooperation between higher and general secondary education institutions is an important condition for creating a modern, practical and interesting educational environment.
As part of “August 2026”, university scientists held thematic locations for teachers in the Space of Innovative Creations “Palace” , dedicated to the use of modern technologies and research tools in school education.
In particular, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Tetyana Mykytyn presented the location “Biodiversity in a Smartphone” . Participants learned how, using mobile applications, you can turn an ordinary walk with students into a real scientific study of nature – observe the diversity of species, record the results, and explore the environment directly during learning.
Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor Yaroslava Atamanyuk conducted a location “Remote Sensing of the Earth in the Educational Process” . She demonstrated to teachers the possibilities of using satellite images, digital maps and other modern geoinformation tools during lessons. Such technologies make the study of geography more visual, research-based and closer to real processes.
The participation of representatives of Carpathian University in “August 2026” was an opportunity to share scientific developments with teachers, present modern educational tools, and show practical ways of using them in school education.
