Happy National Flag Day of Ukraine!

On August 23, Ukraine celebrates National Flag Day – the day of one of the main symbols of our statehood, freedom, unity, and invincibility of the Ukrainian people.

The blue-and-yellow flag holds special meaning for each of us today. It flies over Ukrainian cities and villages, in the hands of our defenders, in international arenas, and in Ukrainian communities around the world. It reminds us of what we are fighting for and what we must protect for future generations.

We thank everyone who brings our Victory closer every day. To our defenders who defend Ukraine with weapons in their hands. To doctors, volunteers, rescuers, energy workers, educators, scientists, critical infrastructure workers, and all Ukrainians who continue to work for the state in their places.

We thank everyone who supports the army, helps those who suffered from the war, raises children, teaches, creates, works and holds their front. Today, the struggle for Ukraine continues, and our common strength is in unity, mutual support and faith in our state.

We bow our heads to the memory of the Heroes and Heroines who gave their lives for Ukraine. Their courage will forever remain a part of our history and our struggle.

May the blue-and-yellow flag always be a symbol of a free, strong, and independent Ukraine, and its colors remind us of our land, our freedom, and our responsibility for the future.

Happy National Flag Day of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!
